How to increase your business bottom line.
There is a number of ways to increase sales which should increase your bottom line. I will leave out the illegal way to do this, such as stealing from someone else or borrowing from someone. The latter is not illegal but it won’t increase your bottom line.
This is three of the easiest ways to increase sales and they are so simple that you will think that I am stupid for bringing them up. My reason is quite clear, if you are not working toward these 3 ways you are not maximizing your business.
Well the first thing that you need to do is “Get More Customers”. Pretty easy, right? This seems simple on the surface but it can be daunting task.
The best way to do this is through more advetising in more places. The down side to this is it is the least profitable way to increase sales and your bottom line. This is because “customer acquisition costs” are higher than either of the other two methods.
Second way is to increase the frequency that your customers come to your place of business. Again, on the surface it seems simple but for what ever reason customers get caught up in a routine where they only shop your store once a week or twice a week. The best way that I have seen to change this, is to add new products to your line of products that you offer to your customers. These can be new from one of the same vendors or a new product line altogether.
Third and last on my list is to sell more stuff to each customer. This seems like a no brain-er but it isn’t. This one method is over looked by more sales people than you could ever imagine. This one is so overlooked by most businesses I really find it surprising. During the Christmas Season I work for a Santa Set as a photographer / salesman and one of the biggest things that I have taught my sales people is to ASK for a bigger photo package and then when the customer gets to the register for check out we ASK them if they want any picture frames and “please don’t forget if you want any more of these pictures you can get them by giving us the number on the bottom of your picture”. This all works, as for the 2 years that I have been doing it sales are up.
How, how do you increase your bottom line?
Let’ s start with getting more customers through the door.
1. Google ad words
2. PPC / PPA These are sort of the same kind of method, PPC is pay per click, which means that for every person that clicks on your link you make money. PPA is pay per acquisition. These are all OK if you have a web site, but if you have a bricks & mortar store only this may not work to get them in your store. What you will need to do is increase your ad budget and / or go out into the market place and ask new customers to come in and look around, then sell them something.
3. Newsletters and /or other methods of telling them of a special offering that you have right now.
Why One Trend Up?
This site has been built with Love of learning all that I can about the business of Internet Marketing and Stock Trading. It started with trading stocks and how to pick that best trade for what was happening with that stock and the market. How the stock was trending with the rest of the market or what information just might be out there to justify the trade.I could go on and on about what trends affect the market and a whole lot more information that could go into a stock pick but I won’t at this time. Well after going through over $500,000 in just one year and not having any time to myself I realized that trading stocks just might not be for me. You see while I was trading stocks I lost my Brother-in-law (and dear friend) due to lung cancer. I didn’t spend the time with him that I felt I should have because of trading. Yes he was a heavy smoker. Those circumstances kind of pushed me to try something different and here it is “One Trend Up”.
That is just the short story, I will be offering my whole story later as I don’t find that as important now. To me, you should be looking for just content that gives you help in your endeavor, and that is what I will attempt to give you all of the time.
